We've released the new MILK trailer (Check it out at www.MilkTheMovie.com).  It's been well received, but we would love to know what you think about it.

Its people like Harvey who make this world a place thats better to live in. He knew when and what to say but he also knew when to go for it. Hes not just an american icon, hes someone we should be all proud of him. I live in Canada and without Harvey or Steve Prefontaine, I wouldnt have hero's to look up to.

Focus Features finally booked MILK at a small independent venue in Bellingham, Washington for March 6. Then, when Sean Penn won the Oscar, they reneged on their contract with the cinema house and opened instead at a Regal Entertainment Group Theatre. SHAME ON YOU, FOCUS, FOR BREAKING CONTRACT!

I've been waiting since November to see Milk, but it still isn't near where I live. I hate it when films are released like this, it's extremely annoying and disheartening to your potential viewers. When and if it finally gets here, all of that initial excitement and anticipation will be long gone.

If Sean Penn doesn't get the Oscar for his performance he'll be robbed. The entire film should seep the academy as well. I'm seldom so moved by a film-- this was outstandingly awesome.

I saw Milk last night. I am a gay man who came out when I was 40. I remember the times of Harvey in SF. The movie was an inspiration! Sean Penn's portrayal of Harvey Milk was amazing. I want to thank Mr.Penn for accepting and performing this role! Thanks to the screenwriter, the director and all the other actors who brought this story to the wide screen and a larger audience. My two daughters saw the movie with me and it was a moving experience to share this film with them!

When I was in Austin recently, of all the things I could have done, I went to see Religilous because I had a feeling I wouldn't be able to see it in El Paso. I'm glad I did. Please, please, PLEASE bring this great movie to El Paso. What many may not realize is the size of our metro area, which is well over two million when you include neighboring New Mexico and our sister city Ciudad Juarez in Mexico, which alone has well over one million people. As we all know, sexuality knows no borders. Brokeback Mountain made it here and so can Milk.

I just saw "Milk" a few hours ago and was deeply moved by this great film. I thought the casting, music, ambiance, and script were perfect. I identified with many scenes in the movie so it became a very personal film for me. One aspect of the movie that I haven't heard mentioned is how it is a love story between Scott Smith and Harvey Milk. Scott is with him at the beginning and with him again at the end, reprising the early bed scene where Harvey says he probably won't live to 50. He didn't, and the heartbreak for Scott was so moving at the end that I left the theater with tears in my eyes.

My husband and I just got back from seeing MILK. First, let me just say it was AWESOME! We cried, we laughed, we celebrated, and we mourned. Thank God and Mr. Van Sant for this wonderful film. That being said, let me also comment on the distribution strategy. We live 100 miles north of Los Angeles and we had to travel that entire distance to see this wonderful film. We live near Bakersfield, which believe me is a city that desperately needs to see this film. We could not find anyone nearby playing this film. Not even in Santa Clarita. That really surprised me. After the Oscars, one assumes that will all change. It is sure to be nominated for a full slate of awards. It is inconceivable that Mr. Penn will not win Best Actor for this fantastic performance. Moreover, the Oscars will come right on the heels of the CA supreme courts deliberations on the challenges to Prop 8. In the meantime, even if I have to drive 100 miles, this film is worth it! Out, Proud, and married to the man I love! And I plan to stay that way! Thanks, Harvey...we miss you.

There is a huge demand from the community on the CA Central Coast to see MILK. However, it is not showing at any theaters in San Luis Obispo County. In fact, it is not showing anywhere between Santa Barbara to Santa Cruz - that's 269 miles of the California coast that is not seeing this long-awaited film! What will it take to have a showing in San Luis Obispo?

My partner and I went to see the film last night. I'm still processing all the emotions that it generated. All aspects of the movie, from acting to the technical, were amazing. But the profound part of the experience, for me, was getting a glimpse of our (the GLBT community) history and those who stood up for our freedom and rights. Many are asking why this film wasn't released prior to the election in an attempt to defeat Prop. 8. I don't know if it would have changed the outcome, but seeing it post-election has sure energized me and reminded me that, like Harvey and others who've fought for us, we can't give up and we can't stop fighting. Rest in peace, Harvey, and thank you Mr. Van Sant, for a life changing experience.

Just saw a screening of Milk in Vegas. How a city of two million people like Vegas - with 100,000 tourists a week - could not be a release city is hard to understand. The film is stunning, provocative and profound.

I am excited to see Milk when it comes out next week, but of course I won't see it in a Cinemark theater since Cinemark's CEO, Alan Stark, donated $9,999 to strip gays and lesbians of the right to marry. I hope all gays and lesbians and others who support equality and freedom from discrimination will see Milk in theaters other than Cinemark.
