You can watch the Milk trailer here on this site to get a preview of this exciting new biopic before it hits theaters on November 26th.
The Milk video begins with a scene of Harvey Milk speaking in front of a crowd, introducing himself and saying he's there to recruit people. Next you see news footage and interviews from the 70s displaying the prevailing view at the time that homosexuals were akin to murderers and thieves and should, therefore, have no rights. As the Milk trailer continues, we learn the setting is San Francisco in 1978 where the climate of gay against straight seems to be coming to a head. Harvey Milk says he realizes he is 40 and hasn't done anything important with his life. Thus he decides to stage his own revolution and run for office. The Milk video continues showing news clips displaying the threat to homosexuals' jobs and reminding viewers of all the false assumptions Harvey Milk and his team of activists were fighting against at the time. We even learn of the death threats made against Milk as he continued fighting for gay rights and for hope.
