Tarkovsky in your Headlights
One image forcefully recalls another... I was watching a video of the late great Russian director Andrei Tarkovsky discussing the nature of cinema on The Auteurs' Notebook and found that my immediate response to what I was watching triggered a memory of a similar image of a car speeding through a dimly lit metropolitan tunnel. So, accordingly, here is the Tarkovsky video, and its synaptic relative, Jonathan Glazer's incredible video for UNKLE's song Rabbit in Your Headlights. (You'll no doubt recognize the vocalist as Radiohead's Thom Yorke.)
