Greenberg casting news
Variety is reporting some exciting casting news on Noah Baumbach's Greenberg, the writer-director's upcoming project for Focus Features. It was announced before that Ben Stiller would be playing the eponymous lead in the movie with mumblecore muse Greta Gerwig as his love interest, but now it has been confirmed that they will be joined by Rhys Ifans, Brie Larson and Juno Temple.
Here's an extract from the piece, explaining the plot, and who's playing who:
[The] story centers on a New Yorker (Stiller) who moves to Los Angeles to housesit for his brother and figure out his life. He ends up having a relationship with his brother's assistant (Greta Gerwig). Ifans will play Stiller's best friend, who is going through a divorce. Larson will play Stiller's college-age temptation, and Temple will portray her buddy.
And in case you're struggling to place Larson, Neil Miller at Film School Rejects points to this comedy short in which she plays a babysitter, which is as good an introduction as any.
