Thank you all so very much for your "mostly" thoughtful responses to my first ever blog. You all really got my meat computer (brain) working double time and now I want to address some of your concerns.

First, to Angela Sangaki, have you ever heard of evil? I am entitled to have an opinion about popular entertainment. I never said I wouldn't allow my kids to see this movie — Hamlet 2 — but I did intimate that if they did decide to see it I would probably sit behind them with an air horn and blow it in the faces when the face raping parts happened.

Is that censorship? No. It is courage. Every genocide starts with one little moment — like a movie about face raping — and then once good people stand by doing nothing, here the army comes, shoving people into showers.

I also appreciate your willingness, dear Miss Sangaki, to opine over things of which you have no knowledge. How could you possibly defend a movie that you haven't seen? Are you insane?

But look, I'm all for keeping my mind open. I would like to invite you to come and see this movie with me when it opens. And then if you are willing, I'd like to invite you to my Wednesday night book club meeting to discuss. We normally have these at my friend Siabhan's house (Persian) and the conversations are very eye opening. And dare I say, you might learn something. Like how to keep your stupid face shut about things you know nothing about!!!!

I live in Canoga Park California but I am willing to drive/fly anywhere. This is just that important.
